Captain Matthew S. Kendall is Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Detachment 645, The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. He recruits, trains, motivates, and counsels highly qualified young men and women as prospective Air Force and Space Force Officers. He promotes Air Force and Space Force career opportunities to university and high school students, faculty, parents and Administrators. He also instructs college courses, developing first-year cadets and educating them on the foundation of the U.S. Department of the Air Force.
Captain Kendall first entered active duty as an Enlisted Airman in 2010 serving 9 years in Air Force Space Operations. He commissioned through the Air Force’s Officer Training School as a Space Operations Officer in March of 2019. Capt Kendall’s first commissioned assignment was to the 1st Space Operations Squadron at Schriever Space Force base, CO. During his tenure he served in a variety of roles, culminating as Mission Planning Chief of the Geosychronous Space Situational Awareness Program (GSSAP) constellation. Capt Kendall’s following assignment was to the 57th Space Aggressor Squadron where he taught and replicated adversary capabilities through joint exercise and training events.
