Welcome to Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 645 at The Ohio State University, where our mission is to develop quality leaders for the United States Air Force and the United States Space Force. Through superior education, focused training and unwavering motivation, AFROTC opens the door for entry into the Air Force and the Space Force. Since 1948, AFROTC cadets have gone on to serve in a wide range of career fields that include aviation, cyber, engineering, force support, intelligence, logistics, maintenance, medical, personnel and security forces, among many others.
Embedded at the home of the Buckeyes, Detachment 645 offers cadets an ideal environment that emphasizes the Air Force core values of integrity, service and excellence while developing leaders of character for tomorrow's Air Force and Space Force. As a cadet, you will be trained in military customs, courtesies, history and standards, and introduced to the exciting and rewarding opportunities in today's Air Force and Space Force. Our cadre will facilitate your growth as an individual while preparing you mentally and physically for the demands of military service and developing in you the leadership skills necessary to succeed as an officer in the Air Force and the Space Force. We're excited about your interest in AFROTC Detachment 645 and look forward to assisting you in becoming a member of the greatest Air Force and the only Space Force in the world.
