Lieutenant Colonel Erik A. Fredmonsky


Lieutenant Colonel Erik A. Fredmonsky the Education Flight Commander of Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 645 (AFROTC), The Ohio State University. As the Education Flight Commander, he is responsible for every aspect of the education program at Ohio State and its crosstown schools. He supports a staff of five officers, two non-commissioned officers, and a civilian university employee in educating close to 150 cadets each year. Additionally, Lieutenant Colonel Fredmonsky an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies.

Lieutenant Colonel Fredmonsky graduated from Kent State University and was commissioned from AFROTC Detachment 630 in December 2000. He also holds Master's Degree in Business Aviation Administration from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Prior to his assignment to Kent State University, Lieutenant Colonel Fredmonsky he has served as a B-52 Electronic Warfare Officer, Undergraduate Navigator Training Instructor & Evaluator Combat Systems Officer (CSO), Formal Training Unit Instructor & Evaluator CSO, and a U-28A Instructor & Evaluator CSO. His experience has encompassed nearly all facets of squadron operations to include Flight Scheduler, Executive Officer, Chief of Standardization and Evaluation, Chief of Plans, and Assistant Director of Operations; as well as Chief of Training, Chief of Personnel, and Director of Staff at the Operations Group level. Lieutenant Colonel Fredmonsky worked hand-in-hand with the Army and/or Navy on four of six combat deployments, including one short-tour. He is a Master CSO with more than 2,400 flying hours in T-43, B-52H, and U-28A aircraft. He has flown over 850 combat hours supporting Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM
